Tabletin testailua Yrityskylässä
Menimme 6b-luokan kanssa Yrityskylään testailemaan uusia työjärjestelmiä. Työjärjestelmät olivat todella tärkeitä Yrityskylässä. Järjestelmät toimivat ihan hyvin, mutta niiden netti oli vähän hidas.

Our trip to Peetri Kool, Estonia
This fall four ninth graders, one eight grader and three teachers from our school were chosen to visit an Estonian school called Peetri Kool on October 30th.
The trip started very early in the morning, when we met in the terminal at 6.30 am. Everybody were pretty tired but also excited about the trip.
It took us two hours to get to Tallinn from Helsinki. During that time we ate a delicious breakfast at the buffet. While we were enjoying our food, we planned what we were going to tell about our school to Estonian students and teachers.
When we arrived in Tallin, we got a taxi from the harbour and drove to Peetri Kool.
When we first saw the school, we were very impressed by the appearance of it.

We were welcomed to the school by the principal. In her office we got to rest a little bit and have some Estonian sweets. They also had a really nice coffee machine!
Three students showed us around the school. First we went to gymnasium, where we got to try these "jumping ropes" that were attached to the ceiling. They were designed for kids who had trouble with concentrating. The kids can dissipate their extra energy so that way they can focus on their studies better.
In some ways the school was very similar to our school, but there were lots of differences too.
The school also had a greenroom - just like we do!
The students were not allowed to use their phones during the day and they had school uniforms. The smaller students had full uniforms but the older ones had only identical dress shirts (you could choose between two colours).
The school had many activities for example night orienteering, annual Eurovision contest and many other performances. The biggest event is the Eurovision: the students make their own songs and dances that they perform in front of the whole school. There are also judges who will decide the winner.
They have yoga and dance classes as well so the students have many opportunities to get active.
The lessons looked very similar to ours and the schooldays were as long as ours. But the grading scale was different: when we grade from 4 to 10 they grade from 1 to 5.
And on the top of all, they have a 3D-printer!
After exploring the school we told to the student council about our new curriculum, Pop Up-day, tutoring and other stuff happening in our school. They seemed very interested and asked many questions.

Next we ate a delicious lunch at the cantine - pasta with chicken - and got to rest a little bit in the principal's office.
When it was time to leave the school everyone was very tired because of the long day. We still had some energy left to go shopping in a mall next to the harbour!
After spending an hour by shopping we headed back to the ship. There we ate a delicious buffet meal again - even ice cream and toppings! The rest of the time we wandered around the ship and just chilled.
The trip was much more fun than what we expected!

PopUp- koulupäivä 7.10.2015
Tässä meidän seiskaluokkalaisten pientä tiivistelmää muutamista pajoista ja päivästä.
Joissain pajoissa kuten vaikka marsupajassa opetettiin miten marsuja hoidetaan mitä välineitä tarvitaan ja muuta hoitoon liittyviä asioita.
Paperilennokki pajassa taas taiteltiin paperilennokkeja erilaisista ja väristä papereista. Biljardipajassa opetetiin miten pidellä mailaa oikeaoppisesti ja mitkä ovat biljardin säännöt.
Lego animaatio pajassa näytettiin miten tehdään animaatiota legojen avulla. Myöhemmin kun animaatio oli valmis lisättiin siihen ääniefektejä ja musiikkia.
Karkkitehtuuri pajassa tehtiin karkkien ja hammastikkujen avulla omanlaisia rakennuksia ja muotoja, sekä geometrisiä kolmiuloitteisia kuvioita.
Karaoke pajassa laulettiin lauluja niitä lauluja mitä halusi ikinä laulaa kaverin kanssa tai yksin sen jalkeen laitettiin musiikki päälle ja sanat esiin jolloin siitä muodostui omatekoinen karaoke. :)
Yrityspajassa olitiin esittelemässä miten perustaa oma yritys ja minkälaista se on. Yrityspaja oli meidän mielestä hyvä idea koska siitä saa hyvin tuntumaa siitä minkälaista on johtaa yritystä minkälaisia asioita pitää tehdä jotta siitä tulisi menestyvä.
Haastattelimme rehtoria päivän päätteksi ja saimme tietää muutamia asioita Pop Up päivän historiasta koulussamme.
